FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ABA member puts new plasma spin on branded
marketing campaign.
Nevada State Bank, an affiliate
of Zions Bancorp (NASDAQ: ZION) launches
its “Ask
Bill” newspaper campaign with high
definition plasma screens today.
The new digital campaign
is an extension of the weekly newspaper
series called “Ask
Bill” where readers write to Bill
Martin, President and CEO of Nevada State
Bank and
ask him financial questions. The campaign
shows an image of Martin, followed by an
animated customer question, a delay, then
his unconventional banking answer.
Electronic retail merchandising
systems have changed the way marketing
departments
approach their marketing mix. “The
digital screens allow animations with the
use of color and graphics previously unavailable
on our printed posters and static media” said
Jeff Bargerhuff, VP Marketing, Nevada State
Bank. His team also enjoys the automatic
updates of fresh content, “we have
a month’s worth of fresh material
that will load every Monday without my
staff lifting
a finger.”

Nevada State Bank uses the iPoster plasma
management system from The Kiosk and Display
Company of Atlanta, GA.
iPoster is a centrally managed plasma marketing
system that provides custom branded on-screen
messages that help bank marketing departments
reach their retail marketing goals.
“Our philosophy is that unbranded
content such as movie trivia, sports scores
or live television does not build a strong
brand within a retail space. I have found
that custom branded messages, with hints
of entertainment are the most effective tools
to motivate your customer to action,” said
Jon P. VanderMeer, President, The Kiosk
and Display Company.
VanderMeer has been helping
banks with their electronic merchandising
needs since
1997
when he worked at In-Seitz, Inc., an award
winning multi-media agency. In 2001, VanderMeer
founded The Kiosk and Display Company which
has a rich history of bank clients including
Flagstar Bank, Wachovia Bank, Commerce
Bank & Trust,
Citizens Bank, Anchor Bank & distinguished
others.
